St Thomas Syro-Malabar  Parish Melbourne South East & Bunurong Memorial Park Cemetery

St Thomas’ Syro-Malabar Parish South-East Melbourne is blessed with an approved cemetery - burial ground marked SYRO MALABAR CATHOLIC at Bunurong Memorial Park. It is just two minutes drive from the parish property and proposed parish church at 525-531 Frankston Dandenong Road. Bunurong Memorial Park is a visionary and inspiring place of remembrance within an Australian native parkland. It is part of Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT).

SMCT is a not-for-profit organisation that maintains and administers nine cemetery sites across Melbourne and the south-eastern suburbs, and is tasked with providing burial and cremation services for the Victorian public.

Besides providing burial and cremation services, SMCT provides beautiful spaces to hold funeral and memorial services, and function rooms for gatherings after funerals and memorial services. It also provides an on-site florist to take care of all floral requirements.

The Cemetery project Syro Malabar Catholic is approved.  We have received the final clearance to begin making this available for the community to secure their graves. Please find attached a copy of the approved layout for your information and we will be sharing this with the members as they select their position(s).
