At Easter we celebrate the fact that more than 2000 years ago Jesus’ resurrection changed everything. Sin was defeated. Satan was vanquished. Death was swallowed up by life. The beauty of it is that Easter is not just history; it’s a present reality that’s changing everything!
Easter proclaims an age of grace. Jesus commissions us to spend our lives ushering the graces of heaven down to earth, to our families, neighbours, friends, and even to strangers and enemies.
The risen Lord pours out the Holy Spirit onto the whole world. It’s a spring of resurrection power. Millions upon millions of lives have experienced the power of God. That led them to a conversion. Your life has been swept up, too.
We too can start by following the footsteps of the disciples. Like Mary Magdalene, let us seek out His presence as our first priority. Then, keep running to Him in prayer from time to time- just as Peter and John sprinted to the tomb. Be convinced that He is still alive. Yes, He has been moving in your life all these years, making you a new creation. Believe it. Make sure that He is enthroned in your heart.
Easter blessings!
